What is Atira?
Atira is a Munich-based startup using AI to automate industrial sales engineering, the work of turning a customer's request into a technically viable, priced bid. In many manufacturing firms, commercial staff pass documents back and forth for weeks or months before a price can be quoted, and Atira estimates this work accounts for more than $128 billion in annual labor spending worldwide.
The platform plugs into a customer's existing CRM, ERP and configure-price-quote systems. Its AI agents read incoming requests, highlight key requirements, flag specifications the company cannot meet, and generate the technical documentation, configuration proposals and pricing options that make up a bid. When documents cannot answer a question, agents ping human experts over Microsoft Teams. Users review agent answers with sources shown, and a human must confirm each one.
Atira launched commercially in November 2025 and has signed about 15 customers, all in production. Customers include ABB E-mobility, Chiron Group, which reports processing quote requests 80% faster, and railway equipment maker Robel.
CEO Florian Diegruber was previously a commercial lead at Palantir, and co-founder August DuMont Schutte was a machine learning engineer at Google. They incorporated Atira in Munich in November 2024.
