What is Augmeta?
Augmeta is a Redmond, Washington startup that assigns an AI agent to monitor, investigate and act on each of a company's key business metrics. The company calls this Agentic KPI Ops, short for key performance indicator operations. The goal is software keeping watch over every key metric around the clock, from online sales to airline bag check-in rates, rather than waiting for the question to come up at the weekly business review.
Augmeta calls its agents operators, borrowing the startup term for someone who owns a problem end to end. When an operator finds a problem or opportunity, it estimates its dollar value, brings the evidence to the right team and checks back to see whether the fix worked. What it can change on its own depends on permissions the customer grants.
Tractor Supply Company is a customer. Augmeta says its agents track more than 100 KPIs in the retailer's e-commerce business, and the retailer renewed after its first year. The company sells annual enterprise contracts rather than per-user pricing.
Augmeta was co-founded in 2025 by CEO Salman Jamali, formerly of Opendoor, Nitin Bhaskaran, who led product teams at Home Depot and Opendoor, and Arslan Jamali, a former Amazon Business senior product manager.
Pros
- Dedicated agent per KPI provides continuous monitoring instead of weekly reviews
- Estimates the dollar impact of each issue and follows up on fixes
- Permission-based controls decide what agents can change on their own
- Referenceable customer in Tractor Supply, which renewed after year one
Cons
- Small team of seven people
- Sold as annual enterprise contracts, not self-serve
- Competes with analytics vendors such as Amplitude and Adobe adding their own agents
