About Auxilius
Auxilius is an AI-powered governance, risk, and compliance platform that turns policies, risk frameworks, and regulations into executable code. Its agents write and maintain continuous controls that test entire datasets rather than samples. It is aimed at internal audit and internal controls teams at banks and industrial groups.

What is Auxilius?
Auxilius automates assurance work for internal audit, risk, and control teams. Traditional audits rely on manual testing and samples, which limits how much risk can be covered. Auxilius converts company policies, risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements into executable code, then runs those controls continuously across entire datasets.
According to its website, Auxilius agents write and maintain the control code, adapting each control to specific processes, edge cases, and local entities, and updating it when a rule changes. This lets non-technical auditors operate thousands of continuous controls without writing code. Controls tie back to company objectives, surface qualitative and quantitative risk impact and root causes, and produce concise evidence, with the site noting that the code itself serves as the evidence. The goal is to move assurance from hindsight toward foresight while keeping audit independent, and to cut manual work like spreadsheet-based evidence collection.
Auxilius is based in Germany and went through Techstars. It was co-founded by Christian Hoppe (CEO) and James Barnes. Tech.eu reports that it works with paying enterprise customers including European banks and industrial groups. In July 2026 Auxilius announced a 1.3 million euro pre-seed round.
