About Embedd
Embedd automates the code semiconductors need to communicate with system software by building a digital twin of the hardware and using AI agents to generate the code. The London startup raised $2.7 million in pre-seed funding in August 2026, led by Seedcamp.

What is Embedd?
Embedd is a London-based physical AI chip infrastructure startup. It targets a bottleneck in robotics, autonomous vehicles, connected medical devices and other intelligent machines: the software that powers them must communicate with dozens of different embedded semiconductors that share no common language, forcing engineers to hand-write the integration code.
Instead of engineers reading thousands of pages of documentation, Embedd spins up a digital twin of the hardware. Its AI agents use the twin for context and generate the code chips need to talk to the software running on them. The company says customers can ship production-ready software for semiconductors up to six times faster.
Embedd works with chipmakers including Microchip Technology, helping them attract more developers to build on their silicon. Microchip's vice president of development systems said chipmakers are increasingly differentiated by how easy their chips are to build on, not just how fast they are.
Embedd was founded by three Ukrainian technology entrepreneurs, Michael Lazarenko, Maxim Gorinov and Valentin Gololobov. They created it after their previous hardware company repeatedly had to rewrite software for new components during pandemic chip shortages and the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Pros
