Flatkey is a unified AI API gateway for developers. Production AI apps often combine several models across text, image, audio and video with tools such as search and browsing, and every provider adds an account, top-up, API key, rate limit and invoice. Flatkey consolidates all of that behind one key and one balance.
The platform offers more than 100 official models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, DeepSeek, Kimi, GLM and others, plus image and video models such as Seedance, alongside 1,000+ AI tools. Every call is routed to the provider's official endpoint rather than self-hosted copies. Because Flatkey buys upstream capacity in volume, it says most models are priced at around 80 percent of official list prices, with some lower during promotions. Switching models becomes a parameter change rather than a new vendor relationship.
Flatkey launched in July 2026, was founded by Hunter Guo, and is headquartered in San Jose, California. In September 2026 it announced that Flatkey and Realset AI raised $10M in Series A funding, and that more than 10,000 developers adopted the platform in its first two months. Funds will add more models and tools and scale routing infrastructure.
