What is HelmGuard?
What is HelmGuard?
HelmGuard builds an agentic security and compliance platform. Its premise is that GRC teams spend most of their time on data collection: chasing evidence, reading vendor SOC 2 reports, and re-answering the same questionnaires.
According to its website, HelmGuard's AI agents connect to source systems and pull evidence automatically, monitor controls, manage third parties, govern other AI agents, and deliver reports while the human team reviews and signs off. SecurityWeek reports that the platform unifies fragmented compliance, security, and risk data from unstructured documents and integrated systems, then automates third-party risk management, assurance, and control gap assessments into a single unified view, cutting assessment cycles to hours. HelmGuard also points out that vendor risk assessed at purchase often no longer reflects what is running as vendors add AI to their products.
The company is based in London and was co-founded by CEO John Daley, a former Palantir executive, and Jack Miller. In September 2026 it announced a $7.3M seed round co-led by Infinity Ventures and Frontline, with FinTech Collective, Stage 2 Capital, and Entrepreneur First participating. It plans to expand in the US with New York and San Francisco presence and build an agent assurance layer.
