Compared with Playwright and Cypress, Kane CLI replaces hand-written scripts and selectors with natural-language objectives, adds autoheal when the UI changes, and produces sealed evidence packs, but it gives up some determinism and requires a TestMu AI account. It can export flows to Playwright code, so teams are not fully locked in. Compared with general-purpose AI browser agents, Kane CLI is purpose-built for testing: it returns pass or fail with exit codes, structured NDJSON, Test.md replay from cache, and integration with TestMu AI's test manager and cloud grid.
