What is Klaimee?
What is Klaimee?
Klaimee sells insurance for AI agents. As agents take autonomous actions such as buying, emailing, and modifying sensitive data, the company argues that deployers face liability that traditional errors and omissions and cyber policies increasingly carve out.
Klaimee's offering combines critical-category risk evaluation, certification, a financial guarantee, liability insurance, and the documentation enterprise procurement teams ask for before they sign off on an agent deployment. According to The SaaS News, the company audits an agent's performance and provides AI-specific liability coverage designed around the unusual failure modes of autonomous systems. Klaimee says the product is self-serve from day one and is built for companies shipping agentic AI.
The company was founded by Ines Boutemadja, formerly general manager at SafetyWing where she grew an insurance product, and Julien Catonnet. It is based in San Francisco and part of Y Combinator's Spring 2026 batch. In July 2026 Klaimee announced a $5.5M seed round led by Alexander Mittal of FundersClub, with participation from ex/ante, Pioneer Fund, Multimodal Ventures, Kima Ventures, Rebel Fund, Robinhood Ventures, Y Combinator, and angel investors.
